The company has been registered, but now you're wondering how to find projects? I suggest you just shut down the company.

Today, a friend from the internet industry reached out to me, saying that the software industry is currently experiencing intense competition. I asked him to elaborate. He explained that he had previously worked as a project manager at an outsourcing company, where he also had a technical background. However, due to certain objective factors, he left the company. A few months ago, he used some resources he had accumulated to form a small team and register a software company. His plan was to sustain the team initially by taking on external projects, gradually accumulating experience, and eventually developing their own products. I said that for small teams without resources or connections, this is pretty much the standard approach: survive by taking on projects, build a reputation in the industry, and simultaneously develop their own unique offerings. He mentioned that the company primarily uses various platforms to post videos introducing the software industry, showcasing programmers' daily work, and sharing project experience insights to attract individuals with project needs for consultations, aiming to secure projects through these traffic platforms. Although over the past few months, they occasionally receive inquiries from fans about projects, the overall budget they propose is extremely low. It seems that in their eyes, a complete software system can be developed for a few thousand dollars in just a few days with minor modifications, as everything is already readily available. Some even claim that developing a small program costs only a few hundred dollars, which is completely unrealistic. After listening to him, I roughly understood what he meant. This guy hasn't secured any profitable projects yet, or perhaps no clients are willing to hire him for software development. He started the company first, but after setting it up, he realized he couldn't secure any projects, or the clients he did attract couldn't afford to pay properly, so he's now feeling anxious. In this situation, I suggested he just shut down the company. Based on my understanding of his situation, he is likely to waste some time, lose a significant amount of money, and then close the company. It’s better to close it now than to wait until then. Currently, all industries are focusing on cost reduction and efficiency improvement. Many project demands have shrunk, and even some projects that were originally planned have been canceled. Surviving this wave is already quite good. Here, I also advise all aspiring entrepreneurs: regardless of your industry, if you lack substantial capital or background resources, it is best to first secure a project or potential clients before considering company registration, as maintaining a company’s operations incurs costs. Before that, you can consider starting a business with minimal assets. For example, the friend mentioned above had no need to register a company. They could first utilize their existing resources to form an online team and then register the company when necessary, which would also reduce risks significantly.
