Ushakov stated that the Russian and U.S. leaders will hold a joint press conference after the talks. Ushakov said that the main topic of discussion between the two leaders will be resolving the Ukraine crisis. He added that the two sides will also exchange views on further developing cooperation, including in the economic and trade fields.

According to a statement from the Kremlin on the 14th, the Russian delegation attending the U.S.-Russia talks includes Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov, Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, and Dmitry Kozak.

U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold talks in Anchorage, the largest city in Alaska, on the 15th local time.

On the 14th, Russian Presidential Assistant Yuri Ushakov announced that the Trump–Putin meeting will begin at 10:30 p.m. Moscow time on the 15th, conducted in a “one-on-one” format with interpreters present.

Will the two meet with a handshake, or perhaps an embrace? Will Trump, the shrewd and once-dominant businessman, still project strength when facing Putin, who has ruled Russia for over two decades? How long will their talks last? Afterward, will Trump rush to release information first?

Can Zelensky, the former actor, still sleep soundly tonight? Is the European Union’s collective palm sweating? One thing’s for sure—Trump remains highly influential, especially when it comes to disruption.
