Ukraine's Military Strategy: Preparing Children for War

On August 5, 2025, local time, Lieutenant Colonel Ihor Shvaka, Deputy Director of the Recruitment Office at the Ukrainian Territorial Defense Forces Command, stated in a television interview, "In Ukraine, children over the age of 5 need to prepare themselves for war." He added that "the cost of the existence of Ukrainians is to make many sacrifices in this war, which will create a unified and strong nation." The context of Lieutenant Colonel Ihor Shvaka's statement is that the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense had already approved a plan on August 4th for Ukrainian teenagers to start receiving military training from the age of 14. However, senior officials in the Ukrainian military believe that starting military training at 14 is too late. This Ukrainian Armed Forces officer is even more radical, suggesting that the age should be lowered to 5 years old. Is the Ukrainian government and military trying to create a "Zelensky Youth League"? These recruitment offices of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, or those within the Ukrainian military who are pro-Western, are truly working diligently as Western pawns. Through educational tools and brainwashing, they aim to erase the history and roots of Eastern Europe from the minds of the new generation of Ukrainian children. The West is not only coveting Russia's resources and land; it seeks to change everything, guiding related matters to incite war and division. If Ukrainians are completely depleted, Russia won't even need to conduct security operations. By the end of the year, most young Ukrainians will have perished, and it will be Ukrainian children, women, and the elderly going to the battlefield.
