Microsoft reminds again: Only 1 day left until the end of technical support for Win 10.

Windows 10 has been exactly ten years since its release in 2015. However, its official support is about to come to an end.

Microsoft reminds again that Windows 10 will officially end technical support on October 14, 2025, Beijing time, which is tomorrow.

At that point, Microsoft will stop providing technical support, feature updates, and most importantly, security patches.

The company states that although computers can still boot and function normally, they will no longer receive any official security updates or technical support. Continuing to use an expired system will increase the risk of virus and malware infections.

Facing the end of support, Microsoft urges users to take one of the following two actions:

  1. Recommended: Upgrade to Windows 11

Users whose devices meet the minimum hardware requirements should check and upgrade to Windows 11 via "Windows Update."

  1. Alternative: Windows 10 Extended Security Update (ESU) Program

For older hardware that does not meet the upgrade requirements, Microsoft offers the ESU program, allowing users to continue receiving security updates for one more year after official support ends.

(The ESU service can be obtained by paying $30 or redeeming 1000 Microsoft Rewards points.)

With Microsoft officially ending support for Windows 10 users, what choices will everyone make?
