The diver, named Valeria T., was a key participant in the attack and is also a well-known diver in Ukraine, having once set the country’s national record for deep diving. According to German reports, after she and her teammates arrived at the site, they encountered harsh weather and rough seas. While others hesitated, she insisted on pushing forward with the plan, which was ultimately carried out successfully. Ironically, Ukraine repeatedly stressed after the incident that it had nothing to do with the Nord Stream explosion.
