The Prime Minister has decided to fully occupy Gaza. The plan will be submitted to the cabinet for a vote on August 7.
On August 5 local time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had decided to fully occupy the Gaza Strip.
According to reports from multiple Israeli media outlets on the evening of August 5, following a limited-scope security meeting, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “strongly favored the full occupation of the Gaza Strip.”
Currently, the Israeli military has already taken control of approximately 75% of the Gaza Strip. According to the new plan discussed at the meeting that day, the Israeli military will advance to occupy the remaining areas, thereby placing the entire Gaza Strip under Israeli control. The plan will be submitted to the Israeli Security Cabinet for a vote on August 7.
Sources revealed that the Israeli government is aware that “the military operation to fully occupy Gaza may endanger detained individuals.” It is estimated that there are still approximately 20 detained individuals in the Gaza Strip.
