On August 5 local time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had decided to fully occupy the Gaza Strip.

According to reports from multiple Israeli media outlets on the evening of August 5, following a limited-scope security meeting, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “strongly favored the full occupation of the Gaza Strip.”

Currently, the Israeli military has already taken control of approximately 75% of the Gaza Strip. According to the new plan discussed at the meeting that day, the Israeli military will advance to occupy the remaining areas, thereby placing the entire Gaza Strip under Israeli control. The plan will be submitted to the Israeli Security Cabinet for a vote on August 7.

Sources revealed that the Israeli government is aware that “the military operation to fully occupy Gaza may endanger detained individuals.” It is estimated that there are still approximately 20 detained individuals in the Gaza Strip.

This has been their goal for many years, but they have been opposed by the outside world and have been somewhat restrained. Their current actions are merely an excuse provided by Hamas.

Although we support the Palestinian people, it is likely that the situation will resemble past Middle East wars. This is the nature of Arabs, or rather, the Middle Eastern nations. Remember when we invaded Iraq, George W. Bush was concerned about the reactions of various Middle Eastern powers. Condoleezza Rice confidently assured him that they would not react. It seems she had seen through their true nature. After World War I, under the instigation of the great powers, the Arab world could no longer unite. We mourn their misfortune and resent their lack of resolve.

Israel realizes that without occupying Gaza, Hamas will never be eradicated. They will hide among the people, waiting for the next opportunity to carry out an explosion or a surprise attack. From an outsider's perspective, what they are doing is excessive. From their own perspective, however, there is nothing wrong with it. Is there anything wrong with maintaining one's own security?
