Why do children today hate Japan so much?

The daughter loves eating Japanese food, likes wearing JK uniforms, enjoys watching Japanese anime, and is a cosplayer. When asked if she likes Japan as a country, she says she likes Japan when it is peaceful. Why are kids like this nowadays? Is it an issue with education?

If Japan took the initiative to admit its war crimes, actively reflected on its sins, and put all the right-wingers who whitewashed World War II on trial, I don't think the Chinese would keep bringing it up.
